United States Ambassador David Bruce Wharton recently congratulated World Education/Bantwana for their work supporting orphaned and vulnerable children in Zimbabwe through the Children First program. Ambassador Wharton hailed Children First while officiating a ceremony to hand over the program to Zimbabwe’s Labour and Social Welfare Ministry on December 7, 2012 in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Children First is an initiative between Bantwana, World Education, and John Snow, Inc. that is mitigating the impact of HIV and AIDS in Zimbabwe by developing and improving on effective models of care and support for orphans and vulnerable children.
